21st Family & Youth Conference – Chicago – July 2007

Following the fireworks and the fiesta that is normally associated with Independence Day celebrations, plans are underway for the curtain-raiser to our 21st Family & Youth Conference, which, God willing, will be held in the Windy City from Thursday 5th July thru Sunday 8th July 2007.

The CSINA is pleased to announce that ST. MARK’S CSI CHURCH, CHICAGO has been entrusted to host the 2007 conference.  Though a very small congregation of only 28 families, they have cheerfully accepted this honor, formed a committee for this purpose and have already set the wheels in motion.  It is incumbent upon each and every one of us at the CSINA to extend total support to St. Mark’s as they launch one of their most ambitious projects to date.

Mr. Thomas Koshy
General Connvener

St. Mark’s is pulling out all its stops to ensure comfort and luxury at affordable prices.  The venue is the RADISSON HOTEL, one of the most sought after hotels in Chicago, nestled in the idyllic and serene Northbrook town located in the north-west corridor of the city.  Located about 10 miles from O’Hare airport, RADISSON brings the grandeur and opulence of Chicago’s Gold Coast to its northwest suburbs.

Registration is open.  About 100 members of the host church have already signed up.  Let us consider this very encouraging number as a morale-booster in our efforts to have maximum participation next year.  Please accept this post as an invitation to each and every CSINA family and we urge all of you to confirm your participation with a token deposit.  Please get in touch with your local representative or simply contact Devid George at 847-727-2168 or via email at conference@csichurch.com

Our 2007 Conference has the blessings of Bishop Thomas Samuel in his official capacity as President.  He will be assisted by Rev M P Philip (Vice President, CSINA), John Zachariah (CSINA Secretary), Thomas Kunjummen (CSINA Treasurer) and a 15-member team from St. Mark’s, led by Thomas Koshy, who has been appointed as the Convenor.

For first-time visitors to Chicago or for those who would love to take in the sights, St Mark’s is putting together a bus tour of some of the major attractions of the city which is expected to be conducted from about 9.00 am thru 5.00 pm on Thursday 5th July, leaving sufficient time for the participating guests to prepare themselves for the main event.  This should be a glorious opportunity for all of us to experience the sights and sounds of the most famous city in the Midwest.

Further details will be posted on this website as they become available.  Conferences are a wonderful time for the entire family, not just to re-connect with friends and family but also a golden opportunity to establish new connections in human relationships.  Let us all seize this opportunity, pray for its success and endeavor to meet once again next year.  God Bless.
